Gade, a regional manager for a leading African shipping company, oversees container shipping between key ports in East Africa and destinations in the south-east region. In the early days, like many local carriers, he used used European long-haul trucks. However, it soon encountered systemic problems: worn components, increased fuel consumption and frequent breakdowns on the highways reduced efficiency. The shortage of original spare parts and slow service in remote areas aggravated the situation.
Realizing the need for a reliable solution, Gade made a strategic decision to update the fleet with tractors adapted to local conditions. Having learned about this, the SHACMAN team organized a meeting where they presented individual equipment configurations and cases of successful work in similar regions. Gade was already aware of the brand's reputation, including a 3,000-meter parts warehouse in Southeast Africa. He was impressed by the professionalism of SHACMAN representatives.
Gade's company soon purchased 52 SHACMAN X3000 tractors. To ensure smooth operation, SHACMAN sent service engineers to provide assistance. Their proactive support was a key success factor.
“The equipment demonstrates exceptional reliability, and your service network is truly comprehensive,” said fleet manager Shangu in a conversation with a SHACMAN engineer. “Service centers are located along the entire route, which gives us confidence. Previously, breakdowns on remote routes paralyzed work, now we work without fear.”
This collaboration underscores SHACMAN's commitment to innovative solutions and superior service, helping African carriers achieve new standards of efficiency.
